The wheat class was a lot of fun. I hope everyone learned as much attending it as I did preparing for it. Here are the handouts for those of you who weren't able to come. If there is anyone who was not able to attend who would like more info on wheat let me know. It was a lot of work for me but if I have enough interest I will offer the class again. Frugal Gift Ideas Handout
I was excited to see so many sisters at our last meeting on Frugal Gift Ideas. I had a lot of fun. Jennifer taught us some really good ideas. I have my handout you can download that has a lot of ideas too.
Frugal Gift Ideas Handout
I also found another great gift idea I wanted to pass along. I recently ordered a magazine subscription to Every Day with Rachael Ray Magazine for $2. Yes, a whole year for only $2. I received my first issue yesterday. I thought a magazine subscription would be a nice gift idea and very frugal for only $2. I got on the website today and Every Day with Rachael Ray Magazine is only .99 for a whole year subscription! They have other magazines such as Family Fun, Wondertime, and Women's Day. They also have a lot of other random magazines.
The website is: http://www.lowpricesubs.com/
Have a great holiday season and we'll see you back for more HFPE meetings and activities next year! Let me know if anyone has any activity ideas they'd like to host or attend next year.

Frugal Gift Ideas Meeting
7:00pm at the church
We will have a class on inexpensive gift ideas and packaging/wrapping taught by Jennifer Theetge. We will also have a lot of ideas for inxpensive gifts to give this holiday season or for any occasion.
We will also be etching glass jars and baking dishes with designs and last names. They make great gifts. You can purchase inexpensive glass jars and baking dishes at Walmart or the dollar stores. You can also save an old spaghetti sauce jar, mayo jar, or pickle jar. You can use a glass casserole dish or pie pan from home or a purchased one.
Please let Mindy know which design you would like before Sunday the 9th. You can see her for examples or with questions. Feel free to email her too: zeigler@memoriesbymindy.com
Here are your choices for glass etching:
Date Jar and Scavenger Hunt Ideas

I want to thank everyone who helped with the Sugar and Spice Enrichment meeting that we had a few weeks ago. I learned a lot and had fun. As a door prize I had a date jar (like a journal jar) filled with fun free or inexpensive date ideas. The idea is to pull out a slip of paper and do what it says for your date. There's everything from playing on the playground at the park to trying a new recipe together to going on a long drive together etc. in the jar. Here's a copy of all the little slips of paper if you'd like to make your own date jar.
Dawna also spoke about a scavenger hunt her and Frank did for a family home evening that could be used as a date. Here's a copy of that too.
Make sure you download these files now because they will expire in 30 days. Let me know how your dates turn out!
